We are currently seeking a dedicated, reliable, long-term, and motivated Farm Hand to contribute to the continued success of our operation.
Position Overview:
As a Farm Hand, you will play an essential role in supporting daily farm operations, with responsibilities including the operation and maintenance of pivot irrigation systems, crop care, equipment upkeep, and general farm labor. This role requires a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a commitment to high-quality agricultural practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain pivot irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution.
- Manage and maintain irrigation engines and related equipment.
- Assist with planting, cultivating, irrigating, and preparing crops for harvest.
- Perform routine maintenance on farm equipment, including tractors, planters, and shop tools.
- Carry out general farm maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with a small, dedicated team to achieve farm productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior farm experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ability to operate large farming equipment, including tractors, and other machinery.
- Experience with GPS Auto Steer equipment is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and manage physically demanding tasks.
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with pivot irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices and crop management.
- Experience in general farm maintenance (e.g., building repairs, equipment upkeep).
