IT Automation Engineer II

Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced IT Automation Engineer II. Depending upon the candidate’s skill set, we can adjust the level to this role according to their qualifications, if management feels that is the best direction to take.

Role Overview:

The IT Automation Engineer II is responsible for managing, administrating, configuring, and automating user access to nearly all enterprise systems and applications at Segra. This includes onboarding and offboarding of all users in all systems as well as creating, maintaining, supporting all automated forms, automated processes, scripts, and supporting code along with documentation for all enterprise systems.

The IT Automation Engineer II is responsible for managing all User Accounts, Permissions, Security Groups, Distribution Lists in Azure/Entra ID/O365/Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Centrify, DUO, and all other enterprise applications in the organization which require local accounts at the application layers as well. This includes regular audits of all users and groups in all systems to ensure that no one has access to any systems that they shouldn’t as well as ensuring that all needed access has been granted. This position requires an understanding of established security protocols and procedures and a strong attention to detail.

The position requires great troubleshooting ability, problem solving, excellent communication and analytical skills. It requires a strong knowledge of PowerShell, Azure, AD, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, 0365, Linux and scripting.A strong understanding of authentication protocols such as NTLM, LDAP, SAML SSO is needed. The position also requires strong customer service skills and provides direct end user support in addition to all the back-end administration duties providing round the clock 24x7x365 support on enterprise-level business systems in a very fast paced environment.

In addition to the Engineering Duties listed above, the IT Automation Engineer II is also responsible for these additional the following duties:

The position will assist the Sr. IT Automation Engineer in the Design, Engineering, Administration and Tier 3 Support of all PingFederate SSO, PingDirectory, Access Auditor, Access Management applications, servers, patching, upgrades.

This position is strongly focused on development and support of Automation for all user access across all systems. It requires an advanced knowledge of authentication protocols, PowerShell, JSON files, API calls and interactions, SQL and Oracle Database calls, scripting and stored procedure creations and SAML SSO.In addition, a very strong knowledge of Windows and Linux servers including building, maintaining, support, patching, and administration is necessary.

This position will assist the IT Automation Sr. Engineer in designing Automation solutions for all types of User and Entitlement Access across all enterprise applications, SAS based applications and systems as needed by the enterprise. The position requires an out-of-the-box thinker and the ability to solve complex issues with easy to support solution through the creation of Automation processes through the creation or scripts, code, and processes to support the needs of the organization within the scope and guidelines provided by the IT Automation Sr. Engineer and IT User Access Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing Active Directory and Azure
• Must have strong knowledge of PowerShell

Preferred Qualifications:

• API calls and interactions (strongly preferred)
• Education: BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience: 2 years of experience in an application support role. Understanding of various database protocols including SQL and Oracle, and a strong familiarity with Microsoft products including Office, Exchange, Powershell, O365, Azure, Entra ID, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint. Strong Active Directory, O365, Powershell and Azure experience required. Experience with Linux Administration also needed.
