Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Transport Provisioning Engineer II.
Role Overview:
Transport Provisioning Engineer II is responsible for the Configuration and implementation of Transmitters, Receivers, Amplifiers, Multiplexers and Switches. Also responsible for Conduct testing and troubleshooting with vendors and various internal departments across all DWDM Network.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred.
Experience: 2 years in the telecom/data industry or a combination of education and directly related experience. Experience with provisioning, operating, and maintaining DWDM, Sonet, OTN, TDM technologies in the telecommunications industry preferred.

Provide assistance for vendor cross-functional meetings, reviews, and planning sessions

Proficient with desktop applications and able to utilize a computer for extended periods
Must be detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills
Must have effective interpersonal skills to interact successfully with customers, management and team members
Must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed in a fast-paced working environment, especially when dealing with time sensitive issues and mandated deadlines
Ability to build customer circuits based on DLR design in circuit inventory system
