What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Segrera Associates?
We are working with a client in Clearwater, FL that is looking to add a Accountant to their growing team! This is a hybrid opportunity and would require you to work 3 days from the office and 2 from home and requires candidates that have a Bachelors degree and strong full cycle accounting experience.
Accountant Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of all required financial information for an assigned portfolio of communities.
- Work with community managers and accounting team members to perform the day-to-day financial operations, which includes:
- Maintain accurate tenant ledgers
- Review accounts payable invoice activity and related general ledger account coding.
- Complete monthly financial closing processes, which includes:
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly closing journal entries
- Proactively handle closing matters
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner with the Reporting team to provide meaningful variance comments.
- Assist Operations Team with annual budget process.
- Participate in the external audit process, including preparation of schedules for annual audit.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies.
- Responsible for administering accounting procedures and monitoring internal controls.
- Complete other ad hoc projects as assigned in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Accountant Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field and/or equivalent property accounting experience and/or CPA is strongly preferred.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
