What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Segrera Associates?
We are working with a client in Downtown Orlando that is looking for a Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a 100% onsite role, and a newly created position. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience with a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
Accounting Manager Key Duties
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts, including bank reconciliations, by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Develop recommendations to optimize the company's accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies.
- Take part in forecasting and financial standards-setting processes.
- Assists in coordinating external audits by allocating workload between process owners/supervisors, analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
- Assist in tracking and scheduling of state and federal tax payments as directed by the company external tax advisors.
- Managing a team of 3-5 individuals.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations, including:
- Assets: Cash, Fixed Assets, ROU Leases, and Prepaids
- Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Accounting Manager Education and Experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
- 3-5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Exceptional Excel User
- Workpaper formatting, streamlining, and automation
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
