Position Summary:
We’re looking for a dynamic finance leader to be the backbone of our finance department, collaborating with diverse programs and external partners. In this fast-paced environment, you'll provide technical expertise and hands-on support to ensure strong internal controls and fiscal compliance. The ideal candidate is an organized multi-tasker who can lead a finance team while also diving into the details.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of impactful reports across all programs.
- Oversee grant financial management, ensuring timely processing and collaboration with Program Directors.
- Ensure compliance with grant reporting schedules and monthly deadlines.
- Authorize daily transactions and oversee payroll.
- Develop and maintain effective accounting controls and processes.
- Monitor accounts receivable for compliance.
- Prepare monthly financial packages with insightful analyses.
- Manage the annual audit process with external auditors.
- Mentor Program Directors in budgeting and grant reporting.
- Champion the finance team through recruitment and training.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders while ensuring confidentiality.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety during emergencies and assist with evacuations.
- Complete required background checks and follow health protocols.
- Embrace a flexible schedule as needed.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5-10 years of finance experience, including 2-5 years at a senior level.
- Nonprofit experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial management software, ideally MIP Fund Accounting.

- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects.
- Keen attention to detail and quality assurance.
