What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Director position at Segrera Associates?
We are working with a client that is looking for a HR Director to join their team. This role would be based out of Vero Beach, FL and would need to be comfortable traveling to their Fort Pierce, FL location daily. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background or experience working with a Plant.
Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this position is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This includes areas such as talent acquisition, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, compliance, and culture. The HR Director provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the VP of HR.
HR Director Responsibilities
- Develop HR strategies aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to VP of HR on organizational and workforce matters.
- Lead organizational change initiatives and culture-building efforts.
- Oversee recruitment and staffing strategies to attract top talent.
- Implement effective onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning programs.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee policies, handbooks, and procedures.
- Manage employee relations issues with fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
- Oversee compensation structure and benefits offerings to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Foster a healthy work environment that values communication, feedback, and employee satisfaction.
- Lead engagement surveys and action planning.
- Promote initiatives that enhance employee wellness, recognition, and development.
- Oversee HR systems (HRIS), processes, and data management.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide reports to leadership to inform decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery and employee experience.
Background:
- 6 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles. Experience preferably in a CPG, food and beverage, manufacturing, or retail environment
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and ethical standards.
- A self-starter and problem solver, able to navigate complexity, change, and brings a sense of urgency to deliver on tight deadlines when necessary
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
