Job Description
- Utilize computers in a production environment to access technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Install parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, and seats, along with various aircraft system components like tubing, valves, and ducts.
- Use tools such as rivet guns, screwdrivers, nut runners, and various hand tools to perform assembly tasks.
- Work with chemicals such as solvents, adhesives, and paints.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting work and checking for foreign object debris (FOD).
- Operate mechanical lifts and work in different positions, such as climbing ladders, bending, and crouching.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, especially when working around electrical equipment and hazardous sources.
- Lift/carry up to 35 pounds and engage in various physical activities related to the assembly process.
- Communicate effectively, adhere to deadlines, and follow safety and compliance guidelines.
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience using detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
- 7 years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing, particularly in hydraulics, IFE, and waste/ potable water systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 10 years of related work experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to identify common tools used in the industry.
- Aviation degrees or extensive aviation experience are highly preferred.
