Job Description
** The Opportunity is to work in North Charleston,SC **
- Perform structural assembly and installation of aircraft components such as landing gear, control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, stowbins, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats.
- Install aircraft system components, including tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts.
- Read and interpret technical work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize manual and automated tools, including rivet guns, screwdrivers, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, Winslow, 90-Degree Power Vane, and Quackenbush.
- Work with chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, and paints.
- Conduct quality inspections, ensuring compliance with FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention protocols.
- Operate mechanical lifts (e.g., ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts) and work around energized sources and electrical systems.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and regulatory compliance in a production environment.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in aerospace fabrication, aerospace manufacturing, or aerospace structural assembly.
- 7-10 years of experience with aircraft systems, including hydraulics, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, interior decorative repair, waste, and potable water systems.
- Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills, work ethic, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry 10-35 pounds and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolding, or working in confined spaces.
- Experience using high-impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
- Work with high-hazard chemicals and in noisy environments.
