Job Description
• Interface with Vehicle Engineering, suppliers, Purchasing, Quality and Assembly Plants.
• Manage product performance to meet functional, cost and weight targets.
• Perform product release and change management processes.
• Direct packaging in vehicle environment
• Manage supplier and internal DVPR’s.
• Support AQP, PSO, product launch and ongoing maintenance of carryover product.
• Be responsible for design and release of designated components.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or ABET equivalent.
• Aptitude for mechanical engineering demonstrated by work experience or academic projects.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to interface with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications: A preferred candidate would possess:
• Minimum 1-5 years experience in brake design, development and validation.
• Strong GD&T skill set.
• Proficiency in engineering disciplines, such as DVPR, DFMEA, etc.
• Formal training/experience in problem solving, quality and reliability.
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green belt / Black Belt certification.
• Experience in manufacturing of brake components and vehicle assembly.
