What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chassis- SteeringBrakes Engineer position at Segula Technologies?
Interface with Vehicle Engineering suppliers Purchasing Quality and Assembly Plants.
Manage product performance to meet functional cost and weight targets.
Perform product release and change management processes.
Direct packaging in vehicle environment
Manage supplier and internal DVPRs.
Support AQP PSO product launch and ongoing maintenance of carryover product.
Be responsible for design and release of designated components.
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Automotive or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or ABET equivalent.
Aptitude for mechanical engineering demonstrated by work experience or academic projects.
Strong communication skills including the ability to interface with suppliers and internal crossfunctional teams.
Preferred Qualifications : A preferred candidate would possess :
Minimum 15 years experience in brake design development and validation.
Strong GD&T skill set.
Proficiency in engineering disciplines such as DVPR DFMEA etc.
Formal training / experience in problem solving quality and reliability.
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green belt / Black Belt certification.
Experience in manufacturing of brake components and vehicle assembly.
