Job Description
- Work closely alongside the airframe lead and perform hands-on technician duties.
- Serve as the sole point of contact for all avionics-related tasks/issues.
- Streamline priorities related to avionics tasks and act as the main avionics technician.
- Escalate the need for additional manpower to the supervisor if required to meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to General Work Requirements
- Complete logs, discrepancies, and/or modification notices
- Transport aircraft to designated locations
- Install test equipment on the aircraft for ground and/or in-flight troubleshooting or FTPs
- Remove and Install LRUs
- Perform avionics and electrical preflight inspections
- Remove / replace and repair electrical wiring and harnesses per applicable engineering and modification notices
- Assist with setting up Aircraft for Elect and Avionic FTPs to include Interior work
- Assist with launching and recovering aircraft from flight
- Assist with troubleshooting pre/post-flight discrepancies pertaining to avionics and electrical systems
- Ensure time compliance equipment, for example, air data computers, communications, standby air speed and altimeters are applicable parts of chapter 14 CFR (FARs)
- Remove all temporary and protective equipment from aircraft and install final aircraft product equipment
- Remove / reinstall aircraft panels in preparation for airworthiness certification inspection and repair post-inspection avionics and electrical system discrepancies as required
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing avionics and electrical systems prior to and after functional tests, which may include performing repairs at the component-level as required
Qualifications
- Previous Lead Avionics Experience
- 4 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems, which must include 1 year experience working in production flight
- A&P or Repairman certification required
- Bombardier aircraft experience
- Open to work 1st shift.
