Job Description
- The engineer in this position will have responsibility in the area of high voltage busbars, HV connectors, fuses, or other tractive battery pack components and systems.
- This may include part procurement, build, and test at all applicable phases of multiple ongoing battery programs. Part of those responsibilities will be to complete APQP requirements and TKO.
- Complete battery pack teardown inspections and root cause analysis for issues.
- It will also entail the completion of DVP&R for approval to build X0 samples off production tools.
- Complete PPAP and safe launch activities.
- Complete final validation and support all battery build milestones.
- Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 (if applicable) supplier milestones and deliverables.
- Schedule applicable supplier meetings at regular cadence to resolve all engineering related open items including but not limited to design reviews, failure analysis, deliverables, sample orders, and manufacturing.
Qualifications
- BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Basic knowledge of HV battery design
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- OEM Experience with advanced quality tools such as DFMEA, DVPR, function models NX CAD skills
- Experience releasing components at an OEM or large Tier 1 company
- Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter
- Microsoft Suite experience
- Experience with busbars or other high voltage battery components
