Job Title: Utility Crew Equipment Operator
Position Type: Full time, 1st shift, hours will vary between 40-50 per week, paid weekly.
Location: Cleves, OH (on-site) – Must be local
Reports to: Foreman

Job Summary:
The Utility Crew Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of various machinery and equipment used in construction and maintenance projects. This position requires a skilled individual who can operate heavy machinery, perform maintenance tasks, and ensure that all operations are conducted safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, for various construction tasks.
- Install trench boxes, lower pipe into trenches, move material safely, efficiently, and keep up with production goals
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Assist in building and maintaining underground infrastructure, pipelines, and other utilities
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and promoting a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Proficient in operating and excavating with the use of excavators
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on communication and collaboration
- Willing to help out with pipe laying operations as necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in utility systems operations is preferred
- Proven experience working as a Utilities Operator or in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to underground construction, such as OSHA, EPA, or other relevant agencies.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Excavation (digging trenches, setting structures): 1 year (Required)
- Excavator operation: 3 years (Required)
