SMA Automation Technology Manager

The Investment Manager Services (IMS) Division at SEI is experiencing rapid growth and is expanding its Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) team. Our mission is to deliver the highest standards of service and account management to our clients within IMS. This role will collaborate across SMA teams, including trading, client service, account administration, portfolio administration, reconciliation, and security master.

Key responsibilities include managing and developing automated processes leveraging Microsoft Power, Python, SQL, and VBA. The role involves close interaction with SMA operations teams, requiring a deep understanding of each group's processes, their interconnections, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Additionally, this role focuses on identifying, designing, and implementing new procedures and solutions to enhance efficiency.

What you’ll do :

  • You will act as the primary point of contact for all automated processes, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • You will represent SEI professionally while confidently demonstrating command and knowledge when interacting with external clients and vendors.
  • You will monitor and verify that all established processes function effectively, addressing issues promptly.
  • You will collaborate closely with SMA operations teams, maintaining professional and precise communication via email and in person.
  • You will support the development and documentation of automated processes and controls, contributing to process improvements and enhancements.

What we need from you :

  • BS / BA degree in computer science, accounting, finance, business or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of automation experience, preferably in an investment environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power (Automate, Dataverse), SharePoint, Python, SQL and VBA.
  • Team player.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Flexible and adaptable to various product deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Takes initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving or escalating problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to quickly analyze issues and take appropriate action under tight time constraints.
  • Comfortable working in an open floor environment.
