What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fund Accounting Director position at SEI Investments Developments?
The Investment Management Division at SEI is a rapidly growing entity that seeks highly skilled professionals to join its Alternative Investment Funds team. As a Fund Accounting Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of premium accounting services to internal and external clients connected to your service relationships.
Key responsibilities include operational ownership and leadership for a bundle of service relationships, working with senior operations officers, fund accounting and administration directors, and other unit personnel to coordinate and execute on the delivery of high-quality services. You will also be responsible for directing overall operations functions, including transaction initiation and service requests via multiple channels, and training staff to ensure excellent client service.
You will serve as a senior technical and operational resource for clients, interact with the Board of Directors/Trustees, and resolve unique client issues in tandem with SEI Relationship Teams. In certain circumstances, you may serve as the Chief Financial Officer of client funds.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, leading multiple teams in a changing environment, or experience in public accounting firms with specific knowledge of the financial services field. A CPA certification is preferred, along with direct experience with accounting for mutual funds and other pooled investment vehicles.
