AS9100 certified and committed to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we’re seeking a dynamic and technically skilled CNC Programming / Pre-Production Manager to take ownership of daily execution on the floor — driving quality, delivery, and efficiency.
Position Overview:
As the CNC Programming / Pre-Production Manager you will lead a team of machinists, programmers, and operators to ensure the on-time delivery and quality of high-precision machined components. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires deep technical knowledge in CNC programming and machining, problem-solving ability, team coordination, and direct customer interaction.
You will be the go-to expert on the floor, balancing strategic planning with real-time troubleshooting and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Have a minimum of 10 years of experience metal machining, fixture design, and setup (Education obtained through advanced technical training in a related field is required if < 10 years experience)Be proficient in programming for 4 and 5 axis CNC Turning, Milling Have 8 years CAM programming (Fusion 360 preferred) and the ability to program and produce parts directly from drawings and models. Have experience machining tight tolerance, high-value components. Have extensive experience with Okuma, Fanuc, and other CNC controls. Have the knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical data and interpret engineering drawings. Have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple disciplines with internal and external customers. Ability to read technical drawings, GD&T, and inspection reports. Experience managing or leading a team in a manufacturing environment. Excellent understanding of machine tool maintenance and repair coordination. Familiarity with aerospace, defense, medical, or automotive part requirements and quality systems (AS9100, ISO). Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to work across departments and with customers. Strong sense of accountability, urgency, and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations across the shop floor, prioritizing jobs to ensure on-time delivery and quality output.
- Program CNC machines (mills, lathes, EDM, etc.) using software such as Fusion 360, Mastercam, Esprit ect.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting on machines, setups, and process challenges.
- Manage and mentor a team of machinists and operators; delegate effectively and support skills development.
- Ensure adherence to AS9100 and other quality standards.
- Interface directly with customers and internal teams to align on technical requirements, timelines, and changes.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and contribute to machine reliability and uptime.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements related to productivity, quality, and safety.

- Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling.
- Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
- Experience with multi-axis machining or EDM is a plus.

- Schedule: You pick the schedule that works best for you. Any hours between 5:30 am and 6:30 pm. Days can be any Monday -Thursday or Friday: 5 x 8, 4.5 x 9, 4 x 10; no forced overtime
