We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Anti-Money Laundering (‘AML’) to oversee various AML initiatives including, SEI’s transfer agent business, servicing both traditional and alternative investments. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls to prevent, detect, and mitigate violations of applicable money laundering, terrorist financing, and related legislation.
What you will do:
Oversee the delivery and execution of a Retail Transfer Agent (TA) AML Compliance Programs
Help guide the maintenance of the enterprise and subsidiary AML programs, policies, and procedures to achieve compliance with applicable regulations
Ensure effective systems and controls are in place to manage and minimize the risk of money laundering and terrorist financing
Collaborate with and provide direction to business leaders and compliance colleagues on issues related to AML, sanctions, and anti-corruption laws and regulations
Support the optimization of AML related technology relationships used for screening and transactional surveillance activities, customer due diligence, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity and money movement surveillance
Act as the point of contact with US-based supervisory and regulatory authorities for AML, sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption compliance matters
Report to Boards of Directors regarding matters related to AML, sanctions, and anti-bribery compliance issues
Conduct and document the annual AML/CFT risk assessment
Appropriately manage client, regulator, and senior management expectations
Consult and work on annual training for AML, Anti-bribery and corruption and identity theft
Support New Business & Product Growth – Partner with business and technology leaders to engage Compliance at the right inflection points with a bias for speed and execution, while maintaining SEI’s strong control environment
What we need from you:

Comfortable as a manager of people and management responsibilities.
Strategic problem solver with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to implement innovative technology solutions
Understanding of global financial services, including comprehensive understanding of AML, sanctions, and regulations as they apply to banking, securities, transfer agencies, and administrative financial services
Critical thinking and high-quality written/presentational skills
Ability to manage and plan for multiple deadlines across competing priorities
Experience with AML programs in financial services, including but not limited to transfer agents, or other related sectors.
AML compliance or related financial crimes experience or comparable experience at a law firm, regulatory agency, financial institution, major consulting firm, or in law enforcement
Certifications such as ACAMS, CFE, or CAFP are preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
