What you’ll be doing:
- Perform DOT Safety Functions as assigned by safety manager, including DQ Reviews, Equipment inspections, and driver HOS training
- Provide Support for Safety management and Transportation team
- Reinforce safety awareness in a manner that promotes cooperation and morale
- Provide administrative support for Field safety managers
- Track truck audits and communicate results to ensure inspection goals are on track
- Track Hours of Service issues and address as instructed by Safety Manager
- Provide Safety leadership with reporting on guidance completion and post accidents requirements
- Monitor and report performance CSA and HOS metrics to Field Safety Manager
- Assist Safety Manager in conducting facility inspections and orientations as necessary
- Conduct equipment inspections
- Assist Safety Manager with monitory Motive for safety events and address with drivers as appropriate
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 1 years of Transportation Safety experience
- Must be willing to obtain a CDL Class A
- Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Must be comfortable working in 3rd party software applications
- Motive, Fleetio, TenStreet, and Dispatch Track Experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to travel 25%
- Mechanical aptitude
