Seiler Instrument is looking for a Custodial Lead to oversee and support the daily upkeep of our facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in problem-solving, values teamwork, and takes ownership of the job. The right candidate will have experience in custodial operations, and light repair work, with the ability to support a small team. Shift Time: 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM
Work Days: Monday-Friday
Location: St. Louis Missouri, On-site

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily operations and janitorial needs are met efficiently.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to the maintenance and custodial team.
- Monitor facility needs for improvement and communicate concerns.
- May assist with minor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Maintain the building’s exterior, including occasional landscaping needs, snow removal, and general upkeep.
- Handle basic repairs such as painting, fixing light fixtures, and general handyman tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
- Support and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Work in varying seasonal conditions, indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Assist with inventory and ordering of necessary supplies.
- Communicate with management regarding facility needs and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, custodial operations, or a related role.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and working in seasonal conditions.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Working knowledge of minor HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
