Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating various production equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
1. Display exemplary housekeeping practices and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
2. Assemble packaging materials according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
3. Perform thorough quality checks on products to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
4. Efficiently palletize finished products for storage and shipment, following designated protocols.
5. Operate a variety of production equipment including extruders, blenders, winders, grinders, and square-cut machines.
6. Conduct job setups on extrusion and square-cut equipment, ensuring proper settings and configurations for each production run.
7. Perform material changes on all production equipment as required to support manufacturing processes.
8. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on production equipment and processes to minimize downtime and maintain optimal productivity.
9. Document machine setups, production runs, and shipping information accurately and comprehensively.
10. Collaborate closely with supervisors and team members to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
11. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor to meet the needs of the manufacturing operation.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus.
2. Proven experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferably in packaging or related industries.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery and process issues effectively.
4. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
5. Ability to follow instructions, read technical documents, and interpret specifications accurately.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet production deadlines.
7. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
8. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
