JOB DESCRIPTON:
Seiler Plastics is seeking an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Process/Setup Technician.
JOB DUTIES:
· Install/set-up molds in machines according to work order specifications.
· Responsible for molding machine set-up including ancillary equipment as related to the molding process.
· Start-up & adjust any press to optimum required cycle.
· Troubleshoot molding issues based on experience.
· Address unacceptable reject levels.
· Perform insert changes to molds.
· Can perform all functions and responsibilities of material handler.
· Minor repair of press and ancillary equipment (e.g., wiring, or rewiring heater band on presses or molds, removing/repairing/replacing valves, motors, switches, or replacement parts).
· Work with design and management on new applications.
· Perform or assist in regular preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
· Responsible for the continuous operation of production.
· Maintain machine daily logs.
· Train injection molding operators.
· Occasionally will be required to perform work in equal or lower classification.
SKILLS:
· Must understand all phases of plastic molding.
· Must have supervisory skills.
· Must have superior communication skills.
· Must have fork truck experience.
· High school or equivalent (Preferred). Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
EXPERIENCE:
· 3 years experience as an Injection Molding Process Technician
· Training at an accredited Plastic Training Facility a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
