Job Title: Database Application Administrator
Classification: Exempt

Reports To: Director of Enterprise Applications
The Education Fund is a non-profit partnership between six Locals of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and 22 Healthcare Industry employers, serving the education and training needs of 100,000 eligible workers. Our mission is to empower our diverse healthcare workforce to advance in a changing environment through innovative education and training solutions. Our program and budget doubled in scale over the last five years to provide career advancement and continuing education services to 20,000 learners annually, and we are positioned for continued growth with new partners and funding.
Principal Purpose of Job: Designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, using tools such as PowerBI, Sigma, and Salesforce. Collaborates with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights from data stored in Snowflake Data Warehouse and other systems.
As an integral part of the enterprise team, you will need to be collaborative and able to initiate and lead large-scale projects. You will also need to be able to work in an unclear or ambiguous and fast-paced environment as we advance the work of the Education Fund.
Level of Authority: Works under the direction of the Director of Enterprise Applications alongside other team members, adhering to general organizational policies and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools like PowerBI, Power Automate, SAGE Intacct, and Salesforce.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable BI solutions.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from Snowflake Data Warehouse and other sources to support decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reporting outputs through quality control and validation processes.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Business Intelligence tools and report interpretation (as needed, in coordination with team members).
- Troubleshoot and resolve Business Intelligence tools and data pipelines and report functionality issues.
- Document Business Intelligence solutions, processes, and best practices for team and user reference.
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables within strict timelines/deadlines.
- Adapt to evolving priorities and assignments with flexibility.
- Assist team members with special projects and other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Capabilities:
- Experience developing business intelligence solutions and reports (4-5 years).
- Proficiency with reporting tools such as PowerBI, Sigma, or similar platforms (4-5 years).
- Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing data (2-3 years).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exercise outstanding judgment in all areas of responsibility.
- Energetic, self-motivated, hands-on professional with a strong work ethic.
- Capable of performing independently and thinking analytically and creatively to solve problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to enable optimal internal and external interactions.
- Able to analyze data or trends and provide recommendations.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.
- Experience with Paycom, Salesforce, Sage, Excel, PowerPoint.
- All candidates will undergo pre-employment requirements, including a criminal background check and education verification.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, and 4-7 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience migrating large Excel reports to business intelligent tools like PowerBI.
- Experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboard development.
- Experience with Data Modeling and Design.
- ETL Tools (Matillion ETL preferred).
- Data Warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.
- Experience working within a non-profit or labor and management environment.
Compensation:
- Compensation available for the role considers various factors, including but not limited to work location, individual skill set, previous/applicable experience, and other organizational needs. The salary for this role is $122,545.28
