Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
- Create and maintain master data, system settings, and user access control.
- Perform timely monitoring, administration, performance tuning, problem resolution and user support for IT systems related to WMS
- Train users on appropriate system use. Create and maintain user manuals, documentation, and SOPs
- Configure and maintain handhelds, barcode printers, and other tools related to WMS system.
- Communicate system changes to the users, including translating system functionality into business relevant language
- Develop reports, extract requested information and reconcile data
- Evaluate, define, and analyze existing WMS, and configure, test, and support business functions
- Make recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements by leveraging features in the WMS
- Communicate changes, improvements, and modifications to management so that issues and solutions are understood
- Determine project scope and identify and resolve system issues
- Assist with translating user requirements into functional requirements, including creating process models, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team
- Manage configuration changes in the WMS
- Define and coordinate the implementation of test cases
- Provide training to end users for modifications to existing and new processes
- Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures. Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Ability to obtain cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including stakeholders, project team, and other departments within the organization (experience working across functions)
- Strong MS Excel skills, including building drop downs, formatting, pivot tables, and graphing
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work
- Strong change management skills
- Documentation management and technical writing skills
- Query and report development expertise
- Distribution/warehousing experience
- Strong knowledge of desktop, handheld systems, barcode printers.
- Experience with WMS, order management applications, and database systems
- Knowledge of automated software systems and implementation
- Proficient is MS Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related work or military experience
- Experience working with a third-party logistics (3PL) company in supervision or at the desk level
- 2 years of experience in WMS configuration, relational databases, and writing SQL queries
- 2 to 3 years of experience in logistics system implementation, training, and or being the “super user”
