What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Project Manager position at Sekon?
SeKON is seeking a Web Project Manager to support NIH NIDCD IT Services. This Project Manager will lead critical IT and digital health initiatives that will drive customers’ strategic goals. The individual will manage large-scale, cross-functional IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with our customer’s business objectives.
With over 25 years of experience, SeKON specializes in providing large-scale health IT programs in support of federal government customers including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and National Institutes of Health (NIH). RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate project team activities with other teams and senior management.
- Communicate with sponsoring organizations to assist in needs assessment and functional specs.
- Draft specifications and develop work plan definitions.
- Manage tasks, overall deliverables, and status tracking.
- Apply best practices and agile project management methodologies appropriate to the project scope.
- Develop and manage the project schedule using, MS Project.
- Provide status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
- Prepare project reports for management, clients, and others.
- Confer with project team members to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
- Hold regular project meetings with stakeholders to monitor progress and communicate actions required.
- Proactively solve problems to ensure milestones are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct and evaluate post-mortems to improve future projects.
- Manage project issues, revise plans as necessary, and communicate changes to project team members.
- Maintain close contact with project sponsors; ensuring shared vision, stakeholder buy-in, and project support.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or in a related discipline.
- 5 years of Project Management in Web application projects
