Partnered with a leading insurance provider as they hire for an Associate Underwriter to join their collaborative and innovative team! This person will be responsible for assessing, selecting, accepting, declining, pricing, and servicing workers' compensation renewal policies.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and evaluate underwriting data to prepare for issuing quotes and maintaining policies.
- Select risks that align with the company's underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
- Clearly document and explain decisions made regarding underwriting direction.
- Use appropriate communication tools to ensure prompt and professional interactions with clients and agents.
- Provide support to the underwriting team in servicing policies, including processing endorsements, cancellations, and rewrites.
- Analyze various factors and risks when determining policy acceptance, pricing, and servicing approaches.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with underwriting procedures and workers' compensation insurance.
- Ability to review and analyze financial statements and key ratios to assess risk.
