What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Portfolio Associate position at Selby Jennings?
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Monitoring: Actively monitor portfolio positions and market conditions to assist Portfolio Managers in measuring risk and managing client assets.
- Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough credit analysis and due diligence on potential and existing investments, including financial statement analysis, industry research, and risk assessment.
- Compliance: Ensure investment objectives are reflected across portfolios and monitor adherence to client guidelines in concert with the Compliance team.
- Reporting: Generate and review performance reports, risk assessments, and other analytical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Trade Management: Support the Credit Desk with trade flow order management and high-volume trading activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Account Managers, Product Managers, Legal and Compliance counterparts, and Operations teams to ensure seamless portfolio management.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of portfolio monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in investment management or securities industry, with a focus on credit analysis and portfolio management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet). Advanced Excel skills are required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
Salary : $130,000 - $180,000
