As an Associate Principal and Product Owner in Financial Risk Management (FRM), you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing advanced risk management systems. Your responsibilities will include gathering, synthesizing, and analyzing information from various FRM teams-such as Market Risk, Credit Risk, and Stress Testing-to support the creation of requirements for different Risk Applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams.
- Work with various FRM teams to gather requirements for risk management applications.
- Identify gaps and missing requirements by thoroughly understanding the current (legacy) and future states of Risk Applications.
- Recognize interdependencies among risk teams and support integration across the Risk Platform.
- Organize and lead requirement workshops, and discussions with vendors, stakeholders, and product owners.
- Conduct requirements review sessions with stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy; assist in developing acceptance criteria.
- Develop or support test plans and test cases; participate in verifying test results.
- Help create strategies for knowledge transfer and maintenance of risk systems.
- Participate in final acceptance testing after product deployment.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in building and working with pricing and risk management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, including pricing, margins, collateral, liquidity, and operational risks of broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, commercial banks, pension funds, exchanges, and financial market utilities.
- Preference for candidates with expertise in markets and financial derivatives in equities, interest rates, and commodities.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in using Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferred experience in clearinghouse activities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, quickly learning new and unfamiliar concepts.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies; experience with AWS is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, etc.
- MBA, MS, or equivalent graduate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Certifications:
- CCBA, CBAP, and/or AAC certification is a plus.
Salary : $126,000 - $179,000
