What are the responsibilities and job description for the Python Developer, Fixed Income position at Selby Jennings?
Our client is a multi-billion hedge fund, and we are hiring for a Python Developer to join their team based in New York City. This role will work closely with the front-office trading team, and our ideal software developer for this role should have at least 5 years of experience focusing on Python development.
You will have proven experience as the domain expert in exchange-traded products, and be given full autonomy to build automated processes to enhance the infrastructure and optimization of the trading platform.
Responsibilities:
- Developer and implement automated processes for the trading applications and infrastructure
- Design and architecture of the trading system, as well as the roadmap of the business expansion
- Collaborate with the front office trading teams to set up the trading systems and infrastructure
Requirements:
- Strong command of Python, exposure to C# is a plus
- Deep level knowledge in fixed income, or other similar exchange-traded products
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and good communication
