What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quantitative Developer position at Selby Jennings?
Our client is an elite hedge fund with a reputation for excellence in technology and research systems. They are currently building out one of their top multi asset investment groups in the Berkeley California area looking for a Senior Quant Developer. This Developer will work one on one with a variety of Quant Researchers and a dedicated Portfolio Manager as the firm continues to build its west coast presence.
The role will be specialized on developing state of the art research and trading systems by utilizing modern machine learning tools and data science packages. Candidates should be local to the Bay Area or open to relocating.
Qualifications
- 3 years in developing complex research or trading systems, ideally in Python.
- Strong background in systematic trading background
- Working experience in data science packages like Jupyter, pandas, numpy, and sklearn
The team is open to candidates with non competes o 6 months or shorter and must have authorization to work full time in the United States.
