What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quantitative Options Trader position at Selby Jennings?
An options market maker with a global footprint is looking to expand their equity index desk here in Chicago. The Quantitative Trader that they bring on will be able to collaborate with highly experienced traders, researchers, and developers to research, implement, and actively manage semi/fully automated strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar seat but is looking to pivot to a firm where they can have a day one impact coupled with exponential upside.
Responsibilities:
- Manage fully/semi-systematic equity index options market making strategies
- Utilize proprietary trading models and algorithms to enhance pricing and execution strategies
- Analyze market conditions, volatility, and order flow to identify profitable trading opportunities
- Collaborate with other team members to create, optimize, and improve algos
Qualifications:
- 2 YOE in a trading seat previously (ideally in the equity index space)
- Highly proficient in Python
- B.S./M.S. in a quantitative field from a top 50 global university
- Strong understanding of financial markets and ability to move quick under pressure
Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
