Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in P&C underwriting. This role offers a hybrid work environment, with two days in their Stamford, CT office and three days working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze insurance applications to determine risk levels and coverage needs.
- Assess and underwrite commercial auto, general liability, property, and auto insurance policies.
- Collaborate with agents and brokers to gather necessary information and clarify details.
- Make informed decisions on policy terms, conditions, and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of underwriting experience at a P&C insurance company.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
