Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (either five 8 hour days, or four 10 hour days, daytime hours!)

What You'll Do:
- Provide care to both native and non-native patients in our community.
- Ensure integration of complementary medicine with the focus of care on the whole person.
- Provide medical oversight of our medical team.
- Interface with the medical community as directed by Administration to enhance collaborative working relationships and address inter-agency needs and issues
- Promote Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, Clinical Staff Development, and the provision of high-quality patient care.
- Assist in development and monitoring of risk management program for SVT Health & Wellness
- Engage staff and facilitate change to assure integration of health care to meet or exceed PCMH requirements.
- Provide clinical direction for QI/QA program across SVT Health & Wellness ensuring that clinical quality measures and outcomes are developed, implemented, and coordinated.
- Promote communication and program development by participating in clinic, and appropriate local health service meetings. Promote facility programs at every possible opportunity.
- Be able to travel as needed to other communities including Anchor Point, to and from Homer / Seldovia by small airplane and sometimes by boat when airplanes are on weather hold. Travel is a day trip, but inclement weather may require an overnight stay.
What You'll Need:
- Successful completion of an approved Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in area of chosen specialty
- Maintain an active Physician license within the State of Alaska
- At least 3 years of experience in a clinic setting. Preferred but not required: Working knowledge of a health and wellness care facility, Tribal Health, and Community Health Centers.
- Maintain an active DEA licensure
- Maintain Board certification including continuing education requirements
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment background check including fingerprinting.
