Your Responsibilities:
- Provide Compassionate Care: Respond to non-emergency calls and deliver basic life support to patients, ensuring comfort and well-being throughout the transport.
- Assess & Treat: Conduct physical exams, gather patient medical history, and determine the best course of action to provide effective care.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers during patient handoffs and transfers.
- Maintain Safety & Equipment: Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, ensuring everything is ready to provide optimal care in a clean and safe environment.
- Drive with Precision: Safely and efficiently operate emergency vehicles while responding to calls, maintaining the highest standards of safety on the road.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous attitude, treating every patient with respect and compassion.
Qualifications:
- EMT Certification: Must hold a valid EMT certification/license in Georgia.
- CPR Certification: Must be CPR certified.
- Experience: Previous experience as an EMT, paramedic, or in a related field is required.
- Strong Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with human anatomy, medical terminology, and durable medical equipment.
- Quick Thinking Under Pressure: Ability to handle high-stress situations and make rapid decisions when necessary.
- Team Player: You’ll work alongside a dedicated team, so teamwork and communication skills are essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including patient lifting and transporting patients safely.
