Reports to Chief Operating Officer - COO
The Regional Leader (RL) will provide leadership and strategic growth initiative to the Select Dental Management supported dental practices. They will bring non-clinical operational, managerial, and administrative procedures, reporting structures and operation controls to their assigned practices. The RL will effectively communicate and foster growth among the support functions, providers, and all employees. This is a vital leadership role that will focus on positive patient experience, best in class employee and dentist retention and satisfaction, as well as substantial growth in our practices.
This role is not intended to impact the independent clinical judgment and decision making of the licensed providers rendering services at each practice.
Regular travel within PA, MD, and other states, and prior dental management experience are required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field
- Minimum experience 3 – 5 years dental management experience, supervising multiple teams, required
- A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
- Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
- Superior communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport and work closely with team members and peers.
- Experience in leadership positions, managing and training new and existing employees with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Proven track record managing profitable, successful teams, and driving revenue growth.
- Knowledge of dental practice management systems

About the Role
Practice Growth: Regional Leaders support each practice in connection with the growth of active patients, production, and collections in the assigned practices they support.
- Foster a growth oriented, positive, and encouraging environment.
- Develop and implement actionable plans that grow active patient-base, production, and collections of assigned practices.
Practice Efficiency: Regional Leaders are accountable for the management of non-clinical Controllable Expenses and meeting or exceeding Budgets in the assigned practices they support.
- Analyzes financial scorecards of regional offices; identifies and strategizes areas of weakness and growth opportunities.
- Manage P&L to ensure the assigned practices achieve targets relative to growth and controllable expense management.
Employee Engagement: Regional Leaders are accountable for building strong, passionate teams, who are aligned with the Mission Vision and Values of Select Dental Management in the assigned practices they support.
- Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, offboarding and retention for all team members in assigned practices.
- Creates professional development plans for aspiring Practice Leaders to grow within the organization.
- Delivers effective feedback and corrective action to Direct Reports in accordance with company defined process, as needed.
- Monitor the values, culture and satisfaction of both team and patients at all supported practices. Identify any deficiencies and provide support and guidance to rectify. Ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
- Maintain and build strategic partnerships and trusted relationships with key customers, clients, leaders, partners, and stakeholders.
Patient Satisfaction: Regional Leaders are accountable for delivering a WOW Patient Experience in the assigned practices they support.
- Builds passionate teams who are motivated to deliver a World Class Patient Experience.
- Implement strategies that drive and support patient experience improvement initiatives for assigned practices.
- Partners with Clinical Support functions to ensure teams and patients achieve Oral Systemic Health.
Systems & Accountability: Regional Leaders are accountable for ensuring centralized processes are implemented effectively and consistently across all assigned locations they support.
- Supports teams in all areas of operations to ensure systems and processes are successful.
- Partner with the support functions, senior leadership, field teams, and providers to achieve favorable results with respect to exceptional team experience, quality patient care, patient satisfaction/loyalty, revenue, collections, expense management, cash flow, acquisitions, systems, reporting and controls.
- Help to communicate and implement key processes or updates to direct reports.
- Ensures all RCM, Finance & Accounting Processes are functioning properly.
