The Maintenance Tech:
- Completes day-to-day maintenance of the facility’s grounds, hatchery, and equipment.
- Possesses general knowledge of machinery and works with a variety of tools and equipment including, but not limited to a forklift, welding equipment, electric drill, electric meter, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
- Demonstrates problem-solving and troubleshooting skills while multi-tasking and working with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaborative skills, working extensively with team members.
- Follows and adheres to the Company’s policies and regulations of biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety.
- Exhibits safe work habits and use of safety equipment and PPE when necessary.
- Performs work that requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and the use of numerous tools.
- Ability to walk and move constantly, use hands for the entire work shift, lift more than 60 lbs, push/pull up to 60 lbs. occasionally; bend, stoop and squat, grip small objects, and be capable of repeated actions in order to complete job duties;
- Ability to work in environment that is exposed to dust, humidity, heat and cold; and to have excellent hand-eye coordination for repairing the machines.
- Works up to and including but not limited to 40 hours hours per week with the ability to adapt time and efforts to high priority areas, availability for a required On-Call rotation schedule.

Requirements
Experience in Maintenance is preferred.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must have good hand-eye coordination.
Does not own backyard poultry, swine, operate around poultry or operate around swine off duty.
Knowledge and experience in animal husbandry and welfare are preferred.
Ability to read and interpret relevant technical, industry, and government regulations and legislation and demonstrate excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Has to have good business judgment, make quick decisions, and work under pressure.
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking skills a plus
Successful completion of a drug screen is required.
