Medical Biller
Job Summary:
The Medical Biller/Coder is responsible for the preparation and review of medical bills for patients. This position reports to the Office of the Medical Billing Director.
Essential Functions:
·Prepare and review medical bills for payment according to insurance company guidelines and requirements.
·Prepare and review payment plans for billing.
·Prepare and review claims according to approved payments.
·Prepare and review patient accounts for collections.
·Prepare and review patient accounts for disbursements.
·Prepare and review patient accounts for remittance advice.
·Prepare and review patient accounts for reimbursement processing.
·Perform other duties as assigned by management.
·Other duties as assigned by management.
·Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or equivalent required.
·Medical billing experience in a similar role preferred.
·Knowledge of ICD-10 Coding, ICD-9 Coding, HCPCS Coding, and Claims Processing Procedures Preferred.
·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail required.
·Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
·Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a changing environment required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
