What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Lab Assistant position at Select Laboratory Partners?
Reference laboratory located in Ocala FL is seeking to hire either a full time or a part time laboratory assistant. Part time position working days and hours are Monday - Friday 8am -12:30. Full time position working days and hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm. Option to enroll in Medical, Dental and Vision benefits for FTE. Individual should possess excellent communication skills, basic Word/Excel knowledge, detailed orientated with a positive attitude and good time management. Job duties include specimen receipt, maintaining client requisitions and working closely with laboratory testing personnel. Job duties:
- Receives specimens and performs specimen accessioning into laboratory information system
- Performs duties in accordance with policies and procedures
- Prepares and organizes work area and supply inventory
- Maintains written records
- Maintains HIPPA patient confidentiality and security of work area
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements
