What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist/Charleston SC position at Select Laboratory Partners?
Select Laboratories Manning SC is seeking to hire part-time phlebotomists to provide phlebotomy services to nursing homes in the Charleston SC area. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. Work schedule is day shift, Monday - Friday 6:30 -9am. Part-time hours are working no more than 30 hours per week. Applicants must be a graduate of an approved phlebotomy school and at least one year of experience. Salary compares to area hospital systems and reference laboratories.
Job duties-
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary technique for all age groups
- Process and prepare specimens for testing
- Perform patient information data entry into laboratory information system
- Collect and process patient insurance billing information
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Administrative and clerical duties as assigned
- Provide superior customer service
- Maintain HIPPA and OSHA compliance
Job requirements-
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is required
- One year of experience
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
