SUMMARY:
This position is to ensure the accurate and safe dispensing of medications while providing clinical support to healthcare professionals.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: Works on-site at Riverside office - varies includes weekends; about 16 hrs per week working on Mondays and Fridays plus on-call shifts as needed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient medication orders and oversee the dispensing of medications to patients.

Provide clinical support to healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, nurses, and physicians.

Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient medication therapy and manage drug interactions, side effects, and adverse events.

Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any customer service issues.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and work with the team to ensure that quality standards are met.

Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist (RPH) license

Minimum 2 years of LTC pharmacy experience

Proficiency in QS1 & Docutrack software systems

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medication therapy management for geriatric patients

Excellent collaboration and customer service skills when working with healthcare professionals

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; manual dexterity to handle medications, operate pharmacy equipment and use computer systems; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs as needed; Visual acuity for accurate data entry and medication verification; Clear speech and hearing for professional communication.
