Select One Security LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced NICET III Fire Alarm System Technician to join our elite team. You'll lead system design, permitting, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced low-voltage systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and government applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and draw NICET Level III-compliant fire alarm system layouts
- Pull permits and manage code compliance documentation
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems including:
- Fire alarms, access control, CCTV, TVS/audio, central vac, home theater, and more
- Perform system testing, diagnostics, and calibrations
- Ensure installations meet or exceed electrical code, NFPA, and blueprint specifications
- Maintain inventory of supplies and parts on company vehicle
- Complete and submit accurate service documentation
- Support project schedules with timely service and support
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and job site
- Provide preventative maintenance and on-call support
- Follow all safety protocols and internal company guidelines
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Low-Voltage Electrician Apprenticeship Program required
- NICET III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (required)
- 5 years of low-voltage experience in residential and/or commercial environments
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders, in crawl spaces, and outdoors as needed
- Proficient with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and plans
- Hands-on experience using electrical hand and power tools
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory and relevant safety standards
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems for layouts and wiring
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays
- Must provide own hand tools, cordless drill/driver, and work boots
