Schedule: Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year

Qualifications:
- Active certification or licensure in American Sign Language (ASL)
(e.g., RID, NIC, ISBE Approval, IDHHC, or similar)
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for student advocacy and inclusion
What You’ll Do:
- Provide in-person interpreting services to support communication between students, teachers, and staff
- Ensure Deaf/Hard of Hearing students have full access to academic content and discussions
- Interpret for IEP meetings, school events, extracurriculars, and standardized tests
- Collaborate with educators and special education teams
- Serve as a cultural mediator to promote student inclusion
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Stay current with best practices in ASL interpreting in educational settings
