Select Savvy is seeking an exceptional Vision Teacher to join a respected school near South Holland.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide instruction for students with visual impairments, including braille and other adaptive technologies.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Teach students strategies to maximize their independence in the classroom and community.
- Provide specialized instruction in subjects such as math, language arts, and social studies using accessible methods.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
- Educate staff on how to effectively support students with visual impairments in their classrooms.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) License or certification.
- Previous experience working with students with visual impairments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of braille, assistive technologies, and other strategies for visually impaired students.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Passion for making a positive impact on students' education and lives.
