Job Description

Job Title : Service Technician / Calibration Technician

Duration 7 months contract

Location : San Diego CA 92154

Pay rate $24.75 / hr

Job Description

Responsible for performing testing, verifications and calibrations of electronic equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

Clean and decontaminate instruments and ancillary equipment returned from customer sites
Prepare required service documentation
Performs maintenance, testing, calibration and decontamination on a variety of instruments following outlined procedures
Maintains service documentation
Specifies, requests, and maintains spare part inventory
Performs other related duties as required.
Monitor calibration status of equipment

Sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Lifting / moving and carrying products weighing up to 40 pounds.

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and / or moderate noise levels.

Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.

Safety Shoes with Impact and Compression Protection Must be worn.

Exposure to blood.

Qualifications

Education

AA or Technical Training School

Lean Training with a focus on continuous improvement

Experience

1-2 Years related experience

Microsoft Office Skills

Experience with ERP and CRM systems

Working knowledge of schematics

Basic knowledge of standard laboratory procedures, tools and biohazard precautions.

cGMP and ISO exposure, knowledge and experience

Skills

Able to demonstrate sound problem-solving skills and use of judgement / decision making ability

Strong attention to detail

Good organizational skills

Display a sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
