Description
The sustaining engineering project team is responsible for managing and coordinating engineering product design changes for currently released products.
We are a team of project leaders and engineers who embrace a collaborative environment to respond to the changing needs of each project and resolve issues to avoid project delays and disruptions for our operations team.
As part of the sustaining engineering project team, you will be responsible for leading design changes for medical device products such as hospital beds and equipment.
The projects may be related to design improvements, new compliance requirements, quality improvements, or operations and supply chain support.
- Lead cross-functional project teams from planning through implementation. The team may include both internal and external team members.
- Effectively plan and execute projects using project management tools, coach project team members, solve problems, and make decisions for the project
- Lead multiple small to medium projects with limited supervision.
- Communicate both up and down the organization to complete projects and provide status updates on the projects.
- Support change control KPI reporting with project reporting.
- Create and maintain project schedules.
- Assist in tracking and communication of project risks.
- Support continuous improvement opportunities and ongoing process improvements within the sustaining engineering project team.
