Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Engineer with experience in civil works and familiarity with EPA regulations to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct environmental assessments and remediation projects to ensure compliance with environmental laws, protect natural resources, and support sustainable development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Assessments:
- Perform Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.
- Evaluate environmental risks and prepare reports documenting findings.
- Remediation Projects:
- Design and implement environmental remediation plans to address contaminated soil, water, and air issues.
- Oversee remediation projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and effectiveness.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all projects comply with EPA regulations, state, and local environmental laws.
- Conduct periodic environmental audits and maintain proper documentation.
- Civil Engineering Support:
- Collaborate with civil engineering teams on site development and infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical input on soil stability, drainage systems, and erosion control.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with contractors, project managers, and government agencies.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in environmental engineering and civil works.
- Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and remediation.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of EPA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Proficiency in using environmental assessment tools and software (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of soil and water sampling techniques and lab analysis.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
- Certified Environmental Engineer (CEE) or equivalent certifications are desirable.
