Position Overview:
The IT Contract Specialist is responsible for managing, reviewing, and negotiating technology contracts related to software, hardware, and IT services in a hospital environment. This role ensures that all IT-related contracts comply with hospital policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. The specialist works closely with the IT, legal, and finance departments to align technology procurements with hospital goals, maintaining the highest level of compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for IT services, software licenses, hardware purchases, and maintenance agreements.
- Ensure that contracts comply with hospital policies, federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and healthcare-specific legal requirements.
- Maintain a repository of all IT contracts, track renewals, amendments, and expiration dates, ensuring timely action.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors, ensuring competitive pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and compliance with hospital standards.
- Conduct vendor assessments and manage contract performance to ensure that all service agreements meet required performance and quality levels.
