Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED). The RN will utilize the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient education. The role requires strong communication skills to convey critical patient information to the healthcare team and contribute to solutions for variances from patient goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.
- Coordination and Leadership:
- Supervise and delegate tasks to other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Act as a leader and advocate for patients within the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Communication:
- Share pertinent patient and family information effectively with the healthcare team.
- Document care plans, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Problem Solving:
- Identify variances from patient goals and participate in implementing appropriate solutions.
Required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience.
- Experience working in a Trauma Level 2 facility.
- Current certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (ENPC accepted in place of TNCC).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR systems.
