What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager position at Select Source International?
Job Description:
- The Supply Chain Manager role will be responsible for sourcing the project equipment and consumables, setting up a localized supply chain for a new manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas, United States, and running it.
Main responsibilities:
- The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the on time, on-budget and safe delivery of the necessary equipment and consumables, allowing the project to be executed with the highest standards and good engineering practices (ca. €10M of CAPEX OPEX).
- In parallel, he/she will localize the supply chain in cooperation with the EMS and the Sourcing Dept:
- Responsible for sourcing, selecting, and purchasing goods and services required for the company's operations.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate contracts, obtain competitive pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Analyze market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and maintain good relationship with vendors.
- Participate in supplier selection, conduct supplier audits, and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes.
- Afterwards, the main duties of the role are:
- Material Planning activities:
- Purchase Order Issuing, Quotation Request (RFQ), goods deliveries. SAP MRP management, MM Modules Info, Info Record, Source List, Material Safety Stock etc. Stock level, healthy stock & unhealthy stock, contracts and agreements.
- Suppliers' performance management, service rate evaluation, and tracking.
Shipping activities
- Import materials and export finished goods, spare parts and 3rd party shipment.
- Logistic costing, shipping lead time, cargo storage management, ordering of crates on time deliveries, accuracy of shipping documents, tax report, SAP system update.
Warehouse activities
- Materials handling, stock accuracy, cycle count activities. Incoming parts receiving, GRN (good received notes), labeling, etc. Projects materials picking, materials charge out, outgoing cargoes packing, etc.
Supply Chain Management
- Attending HOD and Management meetings. Approval of Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
- Provide continuous development and improvement of department's processes.
- Prepare various department reports, support projects, and maximize handling efficiency.
- SAP database improvements and monitor the accuracy of departmental database.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering science, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Fluent in English.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
