Responsible for managing and leading the Maintenance Technical Department employees to achieve an efficient Technical Team ensuring an effective PM Program for the plant keeping non-scheduled downtime to a minimum, in addition this position is accountable for ensuring that our bakery operations comply with all GFSI, FSMA, FDA, OSHA and EPA related policies including state, federal and local rules and regulations. The Maintenance Manager must develop and maintain a training agenda on key support methods (Allen Bradley PLC, Electrical, and Electro-Mechanical Troubleshooting fundamentals) supporting all Safety Programs that apply to the and coordinate efforts to ensure all employees have a safe and healthy work environment.
DIMENSIONS:
Responsible for Maintenance Department scheduling, meeting Key Indicators, ensuring accuracy of PM compliance - scheduling weekly equipment repairs/improvements during ALL available windows of opportunity. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor will maintain the computer-based PM program (COGZ) keeping the data current and providing for accuracy of the parts/tool crib. Weekly updates and continued communication with the Leadership Team and Peers is critical.
JOB SETTING/WORKSITE
Physical layout:
Ø 250,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing; building designconducive to a premium food manufacturing facility.
Equipment used:
Ø General office equipment: plc, mechanical and electrical equipment used for preventative maintenance purposes, repairs, heavy duty equipment such as welding equipment, shears, drills, saws, forklifts, scissors lifts, hoists, as needed to perform preventative maintenance tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist the Corporate Engineer, Plant Manager and/or Senior Management in the management of the major companywide capital projects.
2. Develops, manages, and communicates the capital projects assigned to the plant.
3. Completes information regarding capital and expense related projects to include timeline, staffing allocations, costs, and closure, supporting the Corporate Engineering Manager.
4. Provides engineering technical assistance to the technical, operations and sanitation teams.
5. Provides technical assistance and direction in process improvement initiatives and the analysis of the various manufacturing systems such as ovens, proofers, refrigeration system, and utility systems.
6. If needed will assist the Plant Manager and/or Senior Management with the vender selection competitive bidding process, developing performance warranties and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's) documents as well as TBO SOP’s.
7. Manage the idle assets located at the plant.
8. Ensure housekeeping in all equipment and inventory storage areas.
9. Provide the leadership in identifying cost savings opportunities in the current manufacturing process, be it capacity constraints, usage cost, speed improvements, or labor reduction.
10. Implement systems to assure that product is manufactured in a safe and sanitary manner, with trained personnel and defined systems, on time and within specific ranges.
11. Manage labor relations with through consistent practices while addressing employee hire / discharge practices, and other staffing requirements.

32. Allen Bradley PLC literate, capable of electrical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair. Knowledge of AB/Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, Fuji, Mitsubishi, SEW, Giddings & Lewis a plus.
33. Electrically proficient in control circuitry trouble shooting and industrial wiring, control and high voltages.
34. The Plant Manager will assume the Maintenance Supervisory role pending absence.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIREMENTS:
ü High school diploma or equivalent. AIB or Technical Degree preferred.
ü Three years hands-on experience in a Maintenance Supervisory level position a plus.
ü Operational background in electrical circuitry, Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting, Electrical / Electro-mechanical regimen, refrigeration, fuel burning equipment, automation, and machine mechanics.
ü Working knowledge and experience spanning AB Logix Software, Programmable Controllers, Drives, HIM’s, HMI’s, Motion Applications, and Servo’s a plus.
ü Sound administrative skills, well-developed tactical / time management skills effectively applied principles to develop people.
ü Proven ability to train and motivate personnel to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:
v Perform other environmental, safety, sanitation duties/reports as requested by the Plant Manager.
v Interfaces daily with all members of the Maintenance Technical Team.
v Continuous improvement is GFSI and FSMA Applications, Fundamentals and Requirements both external and internal.
v Working knowledge and experience in product development food processing and packaging system
v involved in the food processing industry preferably in the frozen food industry (Food Safety,
Food
Defense, cGMP, GHP).
v Strong technical problem-solving skills and proven project management experience with coordination of multiple projects simultaneously.
v Working knowledge of FDA, EPA and OSHA regulations.
v Computer experience including Microsoft Office, Works, Excel, Projects, PowerPoint, and AutoCad Lite.
v Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong cross functional business unit relationships.
v Strong background and experience in the design and operation of automated refrigeration, electrical, pneumatic and manufacturing systems.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
